This is Just to Say

So for class we needed to write a poem using the same poetic structure as William Carlos Williams’ poem “This is Just to Say” with the requirements of no more than 28 words. Here’s mine to the stars.

I ripped out
the stars
that sparkled
in the sky

and buried them,
hidden forever

Forgive me
They were so
beautiful
and you
loved them
more than
me.
